Nepal Earthquake Response

About the project

Urgent help is needed!

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook Nepal on April 25, 2015. Millions of people have been affected, and entire communities have been devastated. Thousands of people have died, more than 1 million children are vulnerable, at least 1.4 million people are without enough food to eat, and hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes. Clean water is running out, and the housing situation will become critical in June as the monsoon season begins.

There is a strong local church presence in Nepal, with more than 300 churches and church plants and more than 8,000 members. NCM has been engaged in strong community development programming for years, and there are also 13 child development centers serving almost 1,300 children.

NCM is working alongside the local church and local leaders to respond to the immediate needs of children, families, and communities, as well as looking toward longer-term recovery and rebuilding plans. Your gift to the Nepal Earthquake Response Fund will support these efforts.
