The Montana region of northern Bulgaria is the most disadvantaged area of the European Union. Almost 50 percent of the population has migrated out of the area since the fall of Communism. In many families, only the young and the old remain, making families extremely vulnerable and barely able to survive on their own. The Montana Church of the Nazarene has a vision for the people of Montana and is working to offer training that allows individuals to see a future in their home country and home province.

Through the Montana Business Development Center, participants will gain training and mentoring to accompany investments in small business development. This will allow the trainees to establish small companies in a number of locally relevant fields and eventually also hire employees. A special emphasis is laid on a sustainable approach.

Project costs will cover funds for the first year; investment will decrease in the following years, until the center is self-supporting. Your gifts toward this project will help empower the people of Montana to transform their lives and communities. And by focusing on individuals between age 25 and 50, the center will help them to create a future in their home region instead of migrating to other places.
